2025 Ford Maverick... worth it?

So I’ve been looking into the 2025 Ford Maverick and kinda wondering if it’s really worth the hype. The pricing seems solid, especially for the hybrid, and the fuel economy is super tempting. But I’m a bit worried about the bumpy ride people mention and the ‘cheap-ish’ interior feel. Anyone here actually own one or taken it for a spin? What’s your experience?

I have the 2024 XLT hybrid and love it. The mileage is insane—like 45-50 mpg sometimes. The ride is a bit rough, though. It’s definitely more ‘truck’ than SUV.

Wow, that’s awesome mileage. Does it really feel that rough on city roads?

Yeah, especially on bumpy streets. Not unbearable but noticeable. Just depends on what you’re used to, I guess.

The Tremor is great if you want something tougher for off-road, but the hybrid’s definitely the money-saver. What trim are you looking at?

I’m leaning towards the XLT hybrid. Seems like the sweet spot for price and features. How’s the off-road capability of the Tremor?

It’s solid—handles trails well. But if you’re mostly city driving, stick with the hybrid. Way better mpg.

Honestly, the interior doesn’t bother me much. It’s simple, yeah, but functional. Plus, those storage cubbies are super handy.

What kind of storage are we talking about? Like, for tools or just random stuff?

Both! Big door pockets, under-seat storage, and a great center console. Perfect for all kinds of gear.

You might want to consider the Hyundai Santa Cruz too. It has a bit more of an SUV vibe but can tow a bit more.

I’ve thought about it. The lack of a trailer brake controller on the Santa Cruz kinda throws me off, though.

Good point. If towing’s a big deal, the Maverick’s probably better straight out of the box.

I’ve got the Lariat, and while it’s comfy, the hybrid definitely feels more value-packed. The new touchscreen in the 2025 models looks interesting too.

Yeah, that touchscreen caught my eye. Is it easy to use, or is it too fancy for its own good?

Haven’t tried the 2025 yet, but Ford’s systems are usually pretty straightforward. Probably worth checking out at the dealer.
