Adding Rear Wheel Liners to My Ford Maverick… DIY Project

We definitely need a tutorial video or step-by-step! Great job on this.

Thanks! Just added some info in the comments about how I did it.

Looks like a DIY job. The cuts look nice and clean! Did you use ABS plastic? Did you have to drill new holes?

Yep, it’s DIY. Used ABS plastic. Only had to drill two holes on top and one inner hole; the outer holes are OEM.

I made these liners to cover the rear wheel well, especially that open front pocket. It’s been on for about a year and really helps keep road debris out. I used an ABS plastic sheet from eBay, measured everything out on cardboard first, and then transferred it to the plastic. Only had to drill three holes total, then used the OEM holes and some push pins for a secure fit.

Thanks! Simple, effective, and old-school. Wonder if someone here could 3D-print a version and share the design.

@Pippin
Nice work! What thickness of ABS did you use, and how did you cut it?

Thank you! I used about 1/16th-inch thick ABS—strong but flexible. Cut it with my small hobby jig saw, worked perfectly!

I might just try designing a 3D print for this.

Is this a DIY project or did you buy a kit?

Thanks! Just posted a comment with the full details if you want to check it out.

Thanks a lot!

DIY means ‘Do It Yourself,’ not DYI. But nice job! Couldn’t find the full process here, though.

Thanks for pointing that out! Thought I included the process in the main post.

@Pippin
Looks like part of your post might’ve gotten cut off. I can’t see any details on how you did it.
