Got the Lariat but the seat height feels off. Brake pedal is too close, gas pedal feels a bit far, and the seat angle makes it feel like my legs are hanging. There’s no adjustment, and it’s becoming a real problem. I’ve driven other SUVs, not trucks, and this is by far the most uncomfortable. Love the truck otherwise… anyone else feel this way? Any fixes or suggestions for the seat issue?
Same issue here, especially with the pressure on the back of my legs after about half an hour. Picked up some 3/8 inch flat washers from the hardware store, removed the rear seat bolts, stacked 5-6 washers on each side, and it’s way better. Factory bolts grabbed all the threads, so it’s a solid fix.
@Vanya
Thanks, I might have to try this. The seat’s really making long drives tough.

Yeah, I’ve seen companies that make spacers with longer bolts, but they’re way overpriced. Seat angle was a big complaint for me too, honestly the biggest downside so far.
@Vanya
Exactly, driver comfort should matter. I didn’t notice during the test drive because I was wearing thick work boots.

Totally… I barely noticed on the test drive, but within a week, I had to do the mod. Just FYI, it takes a Tp55 bit; a T55 works too without messing up the bolt.
@Vanya
Any chance there’s a video on how to do this?
@Vanya
Did something similar in my Jeep Gladiator, but ended up using an overpriced kit from SeatJackets.
Agree on missing the extra seat angle adjustment. Had a Fusion before, and I miss that feature every time I’m in my Maverick.

Still have my Fusion and been eyeing the Maverick, but can’t convince myself since even the top trim doesn’t match my Fusion’s features.
@Joss
It was the truck bed and copilot features that sold me. Was renovating a house, so it was a game changer for hauling stuff. Threw in a moon roof just because I always wanted one!

Makes sense. I have an old work truck for hauling and daily drive the Fusion. Really wanted to consolidate to the Maverick, but it’s hard to give up those features. Still really like the Maverick though.
@Joss
Needed a smaller truck for DIY projects, so I got the Maverick for hauling lumber and 4x8 sheets. Love everything about it… except the seat.
Ford made a weird choice with the seat height adjustment on a single hinge. Seems like taller folks with longer legs feel it the most.

Wait till you find the round lumbar button and the other seat toggles… might help!
@Peyton
It’s not about lumbar support, it’s the lack of angle adjustment. My Mustang GT has it, so I can lower the front of the seat.

You got an 8-way seat but wanted a 10-way.
@Kai
Bought the Lariat with the luxury package—highest trim available. There was no option for a 10-way seat.
@Kai
Yeah, Maverick doesn’t come with an adjustable seat bottom.

Yep, it bugs me too. Wonder if Ford changed this for 2025?
