Has anyone figured out how to keep the backup camera clean and dry? Mine seems to attract water and dirt like nothing else. It’s really annoying!
What exactly are you trying to fix?

They probably just want a way to stop the rain from messing up the camera.
Just wipe it off with your thumb before you get in the truck haha.
Just clean the camera off.
Try coating it with water repellent.
I use a 180-degree rotating device on my truck, but honestly, the regular glass and mirrors work fine for me.

Does that come standard? I thought it might just be an add-on.
@Whitney
It’s standard on all models, but not everyone has the right CPU to run it.
You’ve never had a truck or SUV before? My wife’s Jeep Cherokee gets the camera all dirty too. The back of the vehicle just grabs everything from the road.
I tried putting a small piece of plastic on top of my camera to act like a roof, but moisture still gets everywhere. I just wipe it off with whatever is available.
I just spray Rain-X on mine occasionally to help with that.
Just move to California where it doesn’t rain, problem solved!

That’s exactly what I did!
One of the best features on my VW GTI is that the backup camera pops out when I go into reverse. It stays clean every time! My Volt, though, was the opposite. You just have to get out and dry it off manually.
I clean mine whenever I get into the truck. I pass by it anyway.
If it’s not dirty on the outside, it might be on the inside. Try Rain-X as others have mentioned.
This is why I always suggest the weather delete package.
Why not just try regular car wax?
You all are hilarious! Yes, I can wipe it off. Yes, my head turns. I’ve had many vehicles, including Wranglers, Rangers, Pathfinders, and Miatas, but none of those cameras attracted dirt and water like this one. The Maverick camera really just collects everything.
