I love my Maverick so far, but recently the remote start from my phone hasn’t been working. It’s been -5 degrees here with wind chills around -25, so maybe the cold is messing with it? It used to work just fine. I’ve already uninstalled and reinstalled the FordPass app, but no luck. Any ideas? Would love to hear if anyone else has dealt with this.
It was 0 degrees here, and mine didn’t work either. Had to use the key. Seems like the cold might be the issue.

Yeah, seems like it could be the weather. Thanks for letting me know it’s not just me!
My ‘22 XL works in sub-zero temps. Does your app give you any error messages, or does it just stop working after you slide to start?

It spins for a while and then just turns off. No errors or anything, but the truck doesn’t start.

Does the truck respond at all, like flashing lights or anything? Could help figure out if it’s an app issue or a truck issue.

Nope, no response from the truck. It starts fine with the key, though.
Have you checked if your phone is still connected to the truck? Maybe there’s some signal issue between the app and the vehicle.

Yeah, I’ve tried standing right next to it, so it’s not a distance thing. Still doesn’t work.

Might be worth checking if the app is updated or if the truck’s remote start settings are enabled. Sometimes it’s something small like that.
Just throwing this out there—are all your doors closed and the vehicle in park? I had mine fail because one door wasn’t latched all the way.

Good call, but yeah, everything is shut, and it’s definitely in park.
Did a little digging online, and it seems like it could be a few things:
- Weak vehicle battery
- App not updated
- Poor cellular connection
- Too many remote start attempts recently
Try restarting your phone, checking the app settings, and maybe ensuring the truck has a good signal. Hope this helps!
