Ah! I hadn’t heard that the trigger is EPA approval. Mine says ‘last Thursday in production’ (14Nov2024) and has been that way since Friday.
How do you know yours is already built? Is it because you also have an in-production date? Would you say mine was built last Thursday?

My dealer told me Friday that it was listed as ‘built - awaiting shipment’.

I asked my dealer thanks to you, and they say as of about a week ago, my Maverick is scheduled to arrive late December. Looks like it’s going to be a Christmas gift.

Lariat hybrid with many bells and whistles, my theory at this point is that the sunroof is holding it back.

You guys might be onto something. I went full Lariat but no sunroof (basically the only thing I didn’t upgrade) and am currently in production.

Sunroofs are cool, but they’re overrated. I know a guy who talked the dealer down from a sunroof because he didn’t want to deal with leaks or anything like that. He took off the extra $3000 or whatever it was off the sticker price, and honestly, he didn’t mind the lack of the sunroof anyway.

Agreed – and they’ve historically been a point of failure in every vehicle. I happen to live where the sun and rain kill gaskets, no thank you. Wow, solid for him!
