I am set to receive my Maverick by the end of the month. Since it’s a work vehicle, I didn’t get a chance to see any trucks in person before placing my order. I chose Shadow Black based on photos from the website, but after seeing some on the road, I wish I had opted for Cactus Gray instead. It’s not a huge issue, but living in Canada with all the snow and gravel, my truck might not look as sharp as it does in the pictures.
Has anyone else regretted their color choice or ended up liking a color they initially would not have picked? I will still be happy with my Shadow Black, but if I could redo it, I’d go for the Cactus Gray, especially since it’s being discontinued in 2025.
I chose white because it was the only option available on the lot with the specifications I wanted. Initially, I didn’t think the color mattered much, but looking back, I would have preferred any other color.
I am in the same situation, though I should note that even though white is my least favorite color, I don’t really mind because it is not my top priority.
Not to pile on, but I actually love white on cars and SUVs, however, I am not as fond of it on trucks. To me, it often gives a work truck vibe. That said, with the right trim package or modifications, I think it can look great.
I concur. The fact that both of my work trucks are white indicates to me that I should be at work. The yellow-orange hue reminded me of the contractor trucks I used to drive back in the day, when I had to pull over in the middle of the road, crawl through manholes, and pray I didn’t die.
I bought a discontinued Area 51 XLT Hybrid with a sliding rear window for $24k at a 2.25% APR, which I ordered in June ‘21. After dealing with numerous recalls and feeling misled by Ford and their dealerships over various issues, my only regret is not choosing Cyber Orange.
I ended up with a 2023 model in Cyber Orange, even though it was originally ordered as a 2022. I waited 489 days for it, and I still love the color despite some teasing from people on the MaverickTruck website. I initially had doubts, but when I finally saw it, I knew I made the right choice. Now that they’ve discontinued the color, I definitely stand out!
