Saw this truck for the first time, and wow, it’s a beast! Looks impressive in person.
Can we please get an EV truck the size of a Maverick already?

Closest thing might be the Maxus eT90, but it’s not available in the US. Ford does have a plug-in hybrid Ranger, but again, not for the US market.
@Rio
The BYD Shark is another midsize PHEV, but it’s also not sold here.

Riddara RD6 and Deepal E07 are other midsize electric trucks.

They do look pretty sleek!
@Rio
Of course not, because the US market never gets the cool stuff.

The Rivian R1T might be close?

Sure, if you’re willing to drop over $100k for a truck…
@Nico
The base model R1T is more like $70k. It’s bigger than a Maverick, though—closer in size to a modern Ranger.

I have a 2023 R1T and love it. Best vehicle I’ve ever owned.

Canadian prices are even higher. It’s not affordable here.

Still too pricey for most people.
@Nico
You can find gently used Gen 1 R1Ts for around $50k. I’ve had mine for years, and it’s been incredibly reliable.
@Nico
Leased one last year for about $600 a month with no money down. The deals were decent.

R1Ts cost over twice as much as a fully loaded Maverick. It’s not even close in price.
@Nico
What price range are you looking at?
The cheapest R1T here is $102,000 CAD, while a well-equipped Maverick is around $50,000 CAD.

MSRP isn’t always the best comparison, especially with incentives for EVs.
@Dru
EV incentives in Canada max out at $5,000 CAD, so it doesn’t make much of a difference.
