After I had the SYNC recall done today, I discovered that, even though I had two thirds of the tank full, my range said that I only had 180 miles to E. I assumed that if I topped up, the problem may be fixed, but it just indicated that I now had 331 miles to go to E. Now that I am averaging 42.6 mpg, that ought to be closer to 630. After the recall, has anyone else noticed this issue?

The computer was reset, so it no longer reflects your actual average fuel economy for range estimation. It’s currently based on the fuel economy since the recall and will improve as you drive more.

The dealer reset your adaptions. The truck has to retrain itself to drive. All is fine.

Yes, I experienced this twice. Put it off till next month to look at. I understand how difficult it is.

I would recommend checking the type of neutral safety switch your vehicle uses and testing it. This switch ensures the vehicle can only be started when it’s in park or neutral for automatic transmissions.
In your case, the switch is located on the side of the transmission.
