Hey, I just got my Ford Maverick XLT and I’m loving it! Any ideas on how to make it even more comfortable and give it a street style look? I’m thinking about adding wide wheels and maybe a wide body kit in the future. Sorry if my English is not perfect!

Hey everyone, I’m new here! I just picked up my Ford Maverick XLT (the regular version) and I absolutely love it. I’m thinking about making it more comfortable and adding a street style look. I want to add some wide wheels and possibly a wide body kit later. Any tips or ideas on how to make it look even cooler? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Thanks, appreciate it!

If you lower it, with some nice wheels it will look awesome. But if you raise it, that works too. The only downside is that you can only raise it about two and a half inches max. There are so many possibilities. Everyone has their own preferences. Post some pics when you start modifying it!

@Sam
Thanks for the tips, bro!

Oh, and definitely consider tinting the front windshield… I always get compliments on my Maverick for that.

@Jamie
That actually has its own charm, and I don’t even like wide wheels that much. But on the Maverick, it could totally work… it might end up looking like a regular pickup, but just shorter.

Real question though: why get a truck just to put on wide wheels and a wide body kit and drop it, taking away most of its ability to actually be useful as a truck? Why not just get a Civic?

The reason is that the Maverick is a unique truck. Too many people think trucks are only for off-road or lifted styles, but they can be styled in so many ways.

@Lior
I think part of what makes the Maverick cool is how customizable it is. I love seeing low-rider projects, even though I wouldn’t do it myself. It’s fun to see what others come up with – even the wild stuff!

@Lior
I get that. But if you drop the truck, you can’t really use the bed to carry anything heavy. Seems like wasted space. If that’s fine with you, then cool. Just always wondered why someone would drop a truck. Thanks for answering my question.

All things considered, the Maverick is about the same price as a Civic and not much bigger. Plus, it has a hybrid option, more interior space, and a bed. For most people, the Maverick makes more sense than a Civic. If I remember right, Ford even said they want the Maverick to replace the Civic and be in every household.

Adding visors to the front hood and side windows could make the Maverick stand out more.
