After 9 hours at the dealership, it’s official! I got the XL 2.0 Ecoboost AWD with the tow package. Check out the last photo, I am already doing truck stuff with my first haul.

What is the new seat’s pizza box? I placed that on the floorboard on the passenger side. :joy:

Yeah, I was second-guessing that decision the whole way home. :100:

Looks like you went all out with the options, Just kidding, it is still a nice, clean-looking truck.

:joy: :joy:I was powerless to stop myself. However, it does have the two large, crucial checks, so I am good.

I live in Michigan, specifically in Wayne County, where Detroit is located. We are known for having the highest auto insurance rates in the country. I already pay $320 a month for my other vehicle, and the quotes I got for adding the Maverick were outrageous, $700 or more for both cars. I had to step out in the middle of the deal to spend about three hours shopping for insurance until I found something more reasonable. It is still high at $500 a month for both, but we are hoping to lower it even more. Also, the Ford sales rep was super nice, and we ended up chatting a lot, which didn’t help speed things up!

I saved a lot of money by using a local broker where I live, and I hope that helps you too. I stick with my broker but switch insurance companies every year or two to keep costs down.

The broker gets paid no matter which company I choose, and oddly enough, his quotes like from Progressive are always cheaper than what I get directly from the company. It’s strange, but it works.

Good luck getting that insurance payment down.

This isn’t an endorsement of any specific company, just the idea of using a local broker.
