How do you keep thieves out?

Looks like there’s a soft tonneau cover. As long as OP parks in a garage or locked area, probably not a big concern. And most of the time, he’s around when he’s working.
@Jai
Yep, I lock the tonneau and tailgate when I’m somewhere that might be sketchy. If I’m home, I just lock any valuables in the shed. Most of what’s in there is just hand tools and small stuff—nothing super valuable.
Looks just as good as the real thing. Nice work!
Great solution! Now you have more cash left for other upgrades

Exactly! Next on my list is an adjustable roof rack that fits between the bed and tonneau cover rails. Not sure I can DIY that one though.
@Brennan
Same here. I want one but don’t want to drill into the bed rails.

I’m looking at the Elevate CS rack—it can drop below cab height when not in use so it doesn’t hurt gas mileage as much.
This is perfect! Wish I had seen this before my last camping trip. Everything just ended up tossed into the bed.
This is amazing! Makes me want a Maverick just to try this out.
Now I can’t unsee this with a black rubberized finish—definitely my next DIY project!
@omptopus any issues with sliding on your setup?

Ignore that spelling, omtopus, lol!
This is awesome, McLovin’!
Love this idea! Time to dig through my parts pile and make one!
Throw a 2x6 across the wheel wells and in the slot at the back. Helps keep it almost weatherproof. Also, sealing the plywood would be a nice touch. Cheers!
This is fantastic—thanks for sharing your setup!
I was thinking of doing this for my Ridgeline, but in the PNW even treated wood would get moldy quick!
No bed liner?

I thought about it, but I’d have to sand down every inch of the bed in my new truck and couldn’t bring myself to do it. Figured I’ll just let it get beat up for a few years first.
