Owner Review: Thoughts on the 2025 Maverick Hybrid AWD Lariat?

Just watched a 37-minute video review of the 2025 Maverick Hybrid AWD Lariat, and it’s got me thinking. The reviewer shared some solid insights but had mixed feelings about the Lariat trim being worth the price. Here are some highlights:

  • First Ford for the reviewer (owns a Model Y and Land Cruiser).
  • Interior colors don’t match online photos but look better in person.
  • 8" infotainment screen lacks hybrid power split display—big miss.
  • Rear center seatbelt has to stay buckled, or it triggers a warning.
  • Wireless charging pad is still subpar.
  • Build quality is impressive; 360-camera video quality is excellent (compares to Tesla).
  • Sound system (B&O) is amazing but depends on personal EQ preferences.

Personally, I’m pumped about bringing home my Lariat soon. What do you all think—does the Lariat justify its price tag? Let’s hear it!

I watched the same video. I think the Lariat is worth it for the extra comfort features, especially compared to the XLT.

Agreed. It’s not for everyone, but the moonroof, 360 cameras, and upgraded interior make it feel premium.

The lack of a hybrid power split display is disappointing. My Escape has that feature, and it’s super useful.

Yeah, it’s a bummer. I hope Ford updates this in future models—it’s a great feature for hybrids.

I love the subtle blue interior on my Maverick. It’s way less obnoxious in person than in online photos.

Totally agree! I think it’s one of those things that surprises people—in a good way.

I moved to the Maverick from a Tacoma Limited. Saved $20K and still got an awesome truck. No regrets.

That’s a huge savings! The Maverick really does punch above its weight class for the price.

Ordered Eruption Green but second-guessing it now. The green exterior and blue interior clash a bit in my opinion.

I hear you. Space White looks great with the interior—might be worth considering if you can still change.
