Will my order truly arrive two to three months after manufacturing begins in November, assuming there are no delays, or will I be lucky and receive it sooner?
Furthermore, I take it that my Lariat won’t have the pro-trailer control feature in Job 1?
Regarding Job 1 vs. 2, the dealer was unsure if they could add it later.
Anyone with a hint here? It’s not a deal breaker, but I am interested.
Production is set to begin in mid-November, and they plan to hold for six weeks after the first batch is built for quality control. Considering transit time from the factory, that puts deliveries around January or February. Based on part availability updates on the Maverick forums, things are looking a bit uncertain. According to Long McArthur on YouTube, scheduling emails should start going out tomorrow. You’ll be job 1, if you’re interested in job 2, they recommend waiting until after December for your dealer to place the order.
I also ordered a fully loaded Lariat Hybrid! I’m replacing my 2023 Prius Limited with it. This will be my first Ford, so I hope it lives up to expectations! I don’t mind the wait at all.
February is good since you have more time to put money up for a larger down payment. Though it was an interesting tidbit to learn, I don’t need the tow control because I have nothing to tow.
I got my basic truck with a tailgate lock since I could buy the other upgrades aside from the tow package later or for less money.
You might want to avoid the initial batch, particularly in a significant refresh year.
Manufacturers usually produce this first batch slowly to ensure quality, then gradually increase production. They may uncover issues during this initial run that require manual fixes for each vehicle.
I have pretty much decided to wait for production Job 2 to get the trailer controls. From what I am hearing, it’s best to wait until December. I am also starting to see that placing the order in early January might be the smartest move.
