I am a big fan of these small trucks, and I am curious what made you choose the unibody design with the 4’ bed? Was it the compact size, the speed, the sleek looks, or the great gas mileage? How do you feel about the 4’ bed any regrets?
I wanted a hybrid, and the Maverick was budget-friendly. I do miss the full-size bed of my Tacoma, especially being up higher, but you can’t beat the gas mileage.
If you want to, you can also sort of lift it. Tacoma heights aren’t for you, but height is height.
Compared to a ranger, the maverick has more inside volume.
It has a 4.5-foot bed as well.
It was about $15,000 less.
Additionally, it does all I need it to and gets 44 mpg.
Here’s the solution.
Basically, it’s Goldilocks. That’s evident from the enormous demand. less expensive, more cost-effective, and a bed that fulfills the needs of the majority of individuals. Additionally, it is easier to maneuver in town and urban settings due to its smaller size.
The four occasions in the next ten years that I might require a larger bed, I can rent a massive truck for $15K less (with all the gas savings).
However, for 95% of the population, even massive F150s wind up transporting air or little goods 95% of the time.
As others have mentioned, it’s about fuel efficiency (hybrid), cost, and size. The Maverick is more akin to the old Ranger a small pickup truck. The Ranger today is much larger, similar to what the F-150 used to be when the old Ranger was around. The problem is that pickups have become too big for the average person’s everyday needs.
My only regret is not getting the 4k towing package
Same here. I don’t tow, but not having it means I won’t be able to tow anything until I replace it, whereas having the option to get a trailer would be nice. So, it’s not a huge loss, I suppose.
If we are referring to the older Ranger body form, the short answer is that they are becoming more and more difficult to locate in excellent shape. The latest model year is now more than 12 years old, so keep that in mind.
For me, it was the cost of the new rangers. They are really expensive, and I can accomplish nearly all of my tasks with a Maverick that I would with a Ranger.
In order to replace my mom’s 2022 hybrid first edition Maverick, which was totaled, I am currently searching for a replacement. We are considering purchasing a new one, and everyone is doing well. In comparison to the Mavericks, I am considering Rangers at a price point of about $40k. It appears to be quite competitive.
For work, I received my. I acquired a Maverick because I get mileage reimbursement and didn’t want to ruin my F-150 by accruing a lot of miles. I have the most basic XL, and the reimbursement has so far covered both my insurance and premium.
Gas mileage, price, and the fact that I only need a little help to move items from Home Depot, such doors and mulch, home for weekend tasks. It will be a utility trailer with a go-kart, but I will tow it.
