When I went to change the oil on my 2022 Eco boost FX4, I noticed some seepage of trans fluid around my trans pan after dropping the skid plate. It was almost exactly the same thing that happened to me. I used a wrench to check every trans pan nut I could reach, and they were all loose. I took it to the Ford dealer, and at just 30.000 miles, they had to overhaul the entire transmission. One more item to be cautious of

What stood out to me is how much of a hassle it’s going to be to remove that skid plate each time. .
Yes, you are correct. I might investigate the aftermarket skid plates with the apertures for the right places.
A hose with a fumoto valve would be useful.
I removed the oil filter by cutting out enough felt with a jigsaw in addition to the fumoto valve. The task is swift and tidy when an oil udder is also used.
