Went hunting with my Mav…any tips for scratches?

Good idea adding that hi-vis orange to the Mav…don’t want it mistaken for a bear lol

Don’t worry, it’s just the clear coat. A little polish will fix it up!

Went deep into the woods on an old trail…branches and bushes were rubbing against the truck, but no scratches!

Hold up, looks like there are a lot of scratches though.

Nah, the second pic is just me wiping the dust.

Ohhhh got it! That’s impressive!

Man, it looks like scratches all over…that’s rough.

Haha no, just dust! After the rain, all good—no scratches!

Yeah, maybe make that clear next time haha.

Just use it like a truck :+1:

Yep, we call those ‘desert pinstripes’ where I’m from.

I love getting those ‘hunting pinstripes’ haha.

Did you chamber a round in the truck with the barrel pointed up instead of down? That’s a bit risky.

Yeah, but I was alone for miles. Had it pointed forward, and I was going to unload it. I carried it in my hands from the stand, not on my back. It was already chambered with the safety on. Years ago, I even got a deer while walking back to the truck. Plan was to rest the butt on the floor and unload it…cold as hell that day, and it accidentally went off when it hit the cab floor. Totally my fault.

Yeah, big no-no. My dad always warned me about that. You don’t want to get too comfortable or you might accidentally shoot your truck or worse. Still, rough malfunction there.

Believe it or not, I wasn’t the only one…the body shop had another guy that week. Retired game warden put a 10mm through the driver-side floor.

Yikes…shows that even when you’ve been careful for years, accidents can happen.

Whoa, what happened here? Was it just random? That’s scary!
