Just put in an order for a 2025 XL AWD Hybrid with the 4K towing package for $30k. Curious what deals others are getting on theirs?
I paid $37.3k, including destination and delivery. I went for the Hybrid AWD, 4K towing, Co-Pilot, luxury package, bed spray, bed extender, tailgate lock, and floor mats with rubber liners and mud flaps.
Ordered it a few days after the announcement. Checked again and it’s now showing as $38,105. As soon as it’s here, I’m getting the windows tinted and adding a JL Audio sound system with new speakers, amps, and a subwoofer under the rear seat. Honestly, I’m happy with the price given that I’m getting it exactly how I want.
@Willow
Interested in those audio upgrades. Are you keeping the stock “head unit” and adding line-level inputs for the amp and speakers? Will you still be able to use the factory controls? I’m used to the old-school way with RCA amps and swapping out the radio… thinking Alpine or maybe even Kraco… lol.
@Yan
Yeah, sticking with the stock head unit for now. I’ll check out all the options once the truck arrives. The shop I’m using has been around for years—I got a killer setup there in my old Sentra when I was younger.
@Willow
Wow, except for a few accessories and AWD, we paid $28k for a 2023 hybrid. I would’ve gone for AWD, but not at an extra $10k. Guess Ford knows they’ve got the only midsize hybrid truck and are milking it.
@Dru
Honestly, can’t blame them. They’ve got a monopoly on these smaller trucks right now. They sell as fast as they’re built. I’m sure they would’ve kept it closer to $20k if not for inflation and all the issues in the market lately. I just hope with the price jump they’ve ironed out some of the recalls and other issues.
@Willow
Yeah, I still like the Mavericks. Not a fan of the new front grille or losing the physical HVAC controls, but those are minor things. Even with the price jump, it’s still one of the lowest total-cost-of-ownership trucks around. Ford really nailed it with this truck.
Funny to call it a “micro truck” though. Most trucks these days are so huge you can’t even reach into the bed. Twenty years ago, this would’ve been a full mid-sized truck, not much smaller than full-size models from back then.
@Dru
Good point. By older standards, this really is more of a full-sized truck. And yeah, I’m with you on preferring physical buttons for the HVAC. The new grille isn’t my favorite, but I didn’t think the previous one was anything to write home about either. If the AWD hybrid hadn’t been an option, I’d probably have gone with a 2024.
@Dru
I paid $35k, not including California’s DMV fees, for a 2024 Hybrid XLT with the Luxury Package and Co-Pilot in the upgraded Azure Gray paint. I wonder if anyone here got any deals under MSRP?
From what I’ve seen, most folks are getting MSRP plus some dealer add-ons, and those who got “deals” just avoided forced add-ons. Anyone find different?
@Willow
Does anyone know the tint percentage on the back and rear side windows?
I’ve had mine for three years now, and here’s my take. This isn’t a $40k truck. Period.
The Lariat trim doesn’t even come with leather. It’s not built to a higher standard; it’ll rattle, the paint isn’t great, body panels are thin, and there’s barely any soundproofing. Plastic everywhere, and it creaks. Think twice before paying $40-45k for one, especially with high-interest rates.
@Beckett
Totally. My buddy just got a well-loaded 2021 F150 XLT with the Coyote engine and tons of tech for around $39k with 29k miles. It’s a whole different class of truck but feels like a lot more value.
@Beckett
Agree 100%. I went with a base model XL for $23k, then just upgraded the speakers and added seat covers. Anything more than that feels like a stretch. Over $30k for a Maverick is just too much.
@Beckett
I’m curious, what $40k truck actually has real leather and all those other things? I’m not a Maverick owner, but I’ve been eyeing it. Can you even find a compact truck with those luxury touches under $50k?
@Beckett
Totally get that. I have a 2024 XLT Tremor, and sometimes I think I should’ve just gotten a Ranger. I used to own WRXs, so a compact, AWD turbo truck seemed perfect, and I really like it, but maybe I could’ve gotten more truck for the money.
@Beckett
I think you’re off here. You should look around more; a lot of what you’re saying doesn’t line up with my experience.

In the compact segment, I’d pass on the Santa Cruz because of price and capability. In midsize trucks, you can get great deals on the Ridgeline, Frontier, and even some Colorados and Rangers. They all have better interiors. But yeah, none of them can touch the hybrid MPG.
@Beckett
Until more hybrid trucks hit the market, it’s hard to argue against the Maverick’s value.

Nobody’s saying the Maverick is a bad value; just that the higher trims like the Lariat aren’t worth it. If you’re paying that much, there are other great options, especially on the used market for midsize trucks.
@Hadley
I live in the city and need a truly compact pickup. MPG isn’t as big a concern for me, so what’s the best option for a compact hybrid?
