I’m curious to hear everyone’s thoughts on the new F-150 and Ranger. Are the updates worth it? What do you like or dislike about the new designs? Let’s hear it!
Not a fan of the new front end on the F-150. The hood looks way too much like a Ram.

Wow, I hadn’t noticed that before, but I definitely see it now.

Same here. Now I can’t unsee it!

It’s all I can see now, thanks for that.

Oh man, I see it too now. Good eye!

Exactly what I was thinking. That and the XLTs losing good DRLs—I don’t know what Ford was doing.

And the headlights remind me of a Tundra.
It’s actually a Ranger, not a Maverick. My bad!

Honestly, I couldn’t tell if it’s a Maverick that looks like a Ranger or a Ranger that looks like a Maverick.

The new Ranger is a big improvement. The wider track helps with handling, the interiors feel more high-end, and the bigger engine options are nice.
@Rudy
Agreed on the interior—it’s way better than the previous generation. But I think the front end looks too squished. I prefer the older design.

That’s fair. I’d never buy a 2019–2023 Ranger, but the 2024 is tempting. Still, for the price, you’re probably better off with a base F-150. Same mileage, more space, and fewer compromises.
I used to have a ’21 Ranger before trading it for an F-150. I wasn’t a fan of the old front end, but I like the newer design. The Ranger is definitely underrated.

The wider track on the new Ranger makes a huge difference. The older ones felt top-heavy, but now it drives much better.
@Rudy
Yeah, the older ones felt like they might tip over when hitting bumps during a turn. I’m tempted to test drive the new one just to see how much it’s improved.
The ’24 F-150 refresh is a mixed bag. Aesthetically, it’s neither better nor worse than the ’21, just different. But Ford dropped so many options for ’24 that I wouldn’t buy one now.
The ’24 Ranger, on the other hand, is a massive upgrade. The outgoing model felt too much like an international version, but the new one feels more suited for the U.S. market.
@Ollie
A lot of the options they dropped were things that barely anyone ordered, like the heavy payload package. Now they’ve made things like the 36-gallon tank standard.
@Ollie
Honestly, Ford should have waited to bring the Ranger back until they had this new version ready. The previous one felt outdated when it launched.

Or they could have just introduced it to the U.S. market when it was new back in 2011.
