What is the overall consensus on the Maverick?

I’ve read lots of posts where people say they love the truck, others saying it’s great but the higher trim levels don’t give you any better build quality over the lower trim levels, some saying it’s not worth over a certain amount OTD, etc.

Currently, I have a 2022 F150 XLT. The build quality is solid, and you can tell that this truck is Ford’s bread and butter. I’m considering adding a Maverick to the family but can’t find one to go check out.

I just wanted to get one post where everyone can give their 2 cents.

Your wife told me the same thing. I’ll see myself out.

Absolutely love my XLT hybrid Maverick. The cargo capability, insane fuel economy, comfort, and compactness are all game-changing—especially to have these things in one vehicle!

The ONLY thing I significantly regret is not getting the 400W inverter and outlet built into the bed. I’m told this can’t be added via the dealership, so I’ll have to wait until I upgrade.

6,500 miles on my XLT hybrid, and I absolutely LOVE this truck. Gas mileage is consistently over 40 mpg at the pump. I’ve taken three 500+ mile road trips with my wife and two kids—plenty of space for us and all our luggage. Need to haul 30 bags of mulch? No problem. All this for around $26K out the door with a spray-in liner, soft tri-fold cover, and trailer hitch.

Don’t listen to people who say the top trim levels aren’t worth it. It’s a personal choice. I have a Lariat Lux, and I love the extra tech and comfort. Adaptive cruise and lane centering are game-changers for me.

I have a Maverick XLT hybrid and a 2019 F150 Raptor. Both are amazing for different reasons. The Maverick is surprisingly roomy and handles everything I need for daily driving.

The Maverick’s interior is stylish but low-end. The plastics scratch easily, and there’s no split-bench in the back, which limits storage if you have kids in car seats. That said, it’s an incredible deal at MSRP. Once dealerships add markups, though, you’re approaching Ranger territory. If you can get one at MSRP, it’s a no-brainer.

I love virtually everything about my Maverick Hybrid. The only downside is the dim screen in daylight and occasional Bluetooth hiccups. But it’s worth every penny.

Good. Cheap. Truck bed. Happy.

I have a 2022 F150 XLT and plan to add a Maverick. The interior isn’t as refined as the F150, but for the price, it’s impressive. The Lariat Lux is the sweet spot if you value features, but even the base XL is a great deal if you’re looking for a budget-friendly truck.

I have a Lariat Lux. Pros: small size makes it easy to drive, comfy seats, great tech (adaptive cruise, heated wheel), and plenty of utility. Cons: minor rattles and fit-and-finish issues, but nothing major. Overall, super happy with it!

The Maverick feels like the spiritual successor to the Explorer Sport-Trac. Same niche: compact crew cab with a useful bed. It’s a great value, especially with hybrid tech and modern features.

Non-owner here, but trim levels usually don’t impact build quality. It’s more about the features and materials. For me, any trim with adaptive cruise control is a must.
