Which would you go for and why?

Both meet what I need: AWD, 4K, Co-Pilot.

  1. New 2024 XLT, AWD, 4K tow, Co-Pilot, full-size spare, equipment group 300A, MSRP $32,125

My price: $32,125 + $816 in fees plus sales tax

  1. Used 2024 XLT, AWD, 4K tow, Co-Pilot, Luxury package, 17" alloy wheels, equipment group 300A, 4,600 miles, MSRP $34,775

My price: $30,995 + fees + sales tax

I’d go for the new one, just a bit more, and you skip any mileage wear.

New is more expensive. I’d go with the used one since it has the luxury package—heated seats are a big plus here in Canada.

@Val
Other than heated seats and saving $1,200, anything else that makes the used one better for you?

Depends if you’ll use the Lux features: heated seats, steering wheel, mirrors, USB connections for the back seats, hitch, and a drop-in bed liner. To me, the luxury package is worth it—those features should come standard on a 2024.

@Devin
Honestly, I’m not sure if I need heated seats or mirrors, and USB ports aren’t a big deal to me. But maybe I’m undervaluing them. Does the 4K towing package come with a hitch?

Yep, with the 4K package, you’ll have the hitch. Given that, I’d probably go new if those extras don’t matter to you. I’m in Canada, so the heated features are a must. You also get remote start with Lux, but any trim has FordPass for that.

Are those extra features not really important to you?

For just $1,200 more, I’d feel better owning it from new.

Honestly, I’d probably order a 2025 if you’re able to wait.

What makes you say wait for the ‘25?

I’m a bit worried about it being the first year after a design change, and I don’t know much about what’s new besides the 360 camera. Isn’t the ‘25 more expensive too?

@Lior
The 2025 XLT Eco with 4K towing and Co-Pilot 360 has an MSRP of $32,325. Only a couple hundred bucks more. You get a bigger screen and the newer model year.

@Lior
The 360-view camera’s only available on the Lariat, Tremor, and Lobo High trims.

Is that new for the ‘25?

The 4K towing on the 2025 requires Co-Pilot 360, but I’m not sure about the 360 camera.

Honestly, the Lux package isn’t worth the extra cost or mileage for me. The only thing I’d want is heated seats, but with cloth seats in the XLT, the cabin warms up quick. Plus, does the 24 Lux even come with a spray-in liner?

@Ainsley
Nope, it’s a drop-in liner with the Lux.

I’ve got a similar setup as the used one, but I added the FX4 package. For Canadian winters, the heated seats in the luxury package make a big difference! I’d go with the used one since the miles are low. Are both from the dealership?

Wow, seems like people are split on which one to pick.

Then there’s also the ‘25 model to consider.

I just checked ford.com and built a 2025 XLT with AWD, 4K, and Co-Pilot, and the MSRP came to $34,495 (with the hybrid engine).

Now I’m more confused!

Personally, I’d go used. 4,600 miles is basically nothing—two months of driving for me. Plus, you get the Lux package, which could add a bit to resale later.

If the truck colors aren’t swaying you, I don’t see the value in getting a brand new one.
