Will it survive a trip back from the gas station?

Planning on filling up on some cheap gas, but I’m wondering if the load will stay secure. Anyone have experience hauling full gas cans?

I am not sure if this is supposed to be a joke or not.

It’s serious. BJ’s is doing 1 cent per gallon, but I can only go through the line once and fill up to 40 gallons.

@Kendall
I’m not familiar with ‘BJ’s,’ hoping it’s a gas station?

So are you planning to fill 35 gallons and store it at home?

It’s like a Costco/Sam’s Club for the Northeast. But they got rid of the food court, I think.

@Sam
They’ve got some locations in Florida too.

Interesting! Knew they had them in NY but didn’t know about any in GA or SC.

There’s one up by Charleston on I-26.

@Kendall
Have someone pull up at the pump next to you, and fill both vehicles at the same time. My wife and I do this with our Kroger points!

@Kendall
How’d you manage to get 1 cent per gallon?

You’re not sure if the load is secure, and it’s right in front of you? But we’re supposed to know? :thinking:

Put the cans up near the front of the bed and strap them down. Maybe use those gas savings to buy some ratchet straps.

I use a ratchet strap when hauling full cans, but it should be fine for a short trip.

Do those cans not fit in the net?

You’ll be totally fine.

Full afterburners for max acceleration!

It’s been two hours… did it survive?

Haven’t made the trip yet :slight_smile:

Last time I hauled gas cans, I just braked early.
