Our 2023 Maverick Ecoboost emits a single beep from the dashboard whenever we drive over a bump or pothole. Does anyone else use this? Is this typical? Why does it behave that way? It is beginning to irritate me a little.
I have a dash cam with collision detection, and it occasionally beeps when I hit potholes, mistaking them for significant impacts. The beep indicates that it has write-protected the current video segment.
Never experienced that, not even with lane centering or 360. Dealer to verify. If you have a video of it, it would be really beneficial. Because dealers are notorious for not reproducing the problem and for not making any repairs
Perhaps it has a GPS pothole tracker that beeps to alert city maintenance when it detects a pothole.
It turned out to be the camera, We have the forward and rear acing cameras that came with our truck. Thanks, everyone.
My first thought was, I have no idea, you should take it to the dealership. Then I thought. why are you treating your baby like that by driving over potholes? Just kidding! But seriously, it’s probably something the dealership should check out.
Winter always leaves an abundance of new ones in Wisconsin. I am grateful.
Do you have CP360? It might be the lane assist warning or deactivating.
I have CP360 and mine doesn’t do that
When the camera detects that it cannot distinguish between the lanes, it sounds a beep and displays Cancelled on the instrument cluster. You might be able to eliminate that setting, which could account for the chime you hear on occasion.
