Ugh, good call. I can’t decide between the two. I ordered a Lariat but I’m still unsure. I don’t want 19" wheels, but the rear window is slick.

What pushed me away was the mid reviews on the premium sound system. I drive a lot and had a nice setup years ago, and I miss it. I found I can get premium speakers, subs, amps – the whole 9 – for less than the Lariat upgrade.

I’m with you on the wheels too, lots of bad roads and potholes here in New England, you can mess up rims if you’re not careful.

So they’re still doing this to us. I had to wait around a year and a half, so I guess four months is progress. Great car/truck. Have fun when you get it.

How long from order until you got the ‘Welcome, your order has been received’ email? I ordered a 2025 more than a week ago, and the dealer said we’d at least get a welcome email from Ford.com very fast, then scheduling emails later. But so far, nothing – not even a welcome email indicating the order was accepted. Dealer says the emails are ‘batched up,’ so I’ll have to wait until the end of this week. Does that track with your experience?

How long after that email did you get a schedule date? The month wait is accurate for me, but I’m still waiting on a production date.

Probably a couple weeks after the first email. I was originally set for the 11th, but they bumped me back a week.

Did you have to do anything special to order that? The local dealerships I’ve talked to said they can’t order a 2025 hybrid with the tow package!

The only thing special you need to do is have all-wheel drive. Tell them you bet them $5000 off the sticker that it’s doable, and then show them the online listing in person.

Yeah, I started out sending them a link to ford.com with it spec’d out. I guess I just need to try another dealership, maybe they’ll want my money.

Make sure they don’t screw you. If you don’t do your own research, they’ll really take you for a ride on your trade or payment.
