The dealer replaced the cabin filter, and now the glove compartment is scuffed up. How much of a fuss should I make? People always complain about the cheap interior plastics, but it really annoys me that the dealer wasn’t more careful.
Also, I think they messed up the horn when they replaced the airbag. I have to press really hard for it to honk now.
You should go straight to the Service Manager at the dealership and show them the damage. If they don’t take care of it, escalate it to the General Manager.

It seriously looks like they scratched it with keys or something.
That’s unacceptable. I used to be a dealership tech (not for Ford, but a different brand), and this kind of thing shouldn’t happen. If a tech messed it up, they need to take responsibility.
Accidents happen, but they need to fix their mistakes, not pass it off to you. Don’t wait too long to bring it up, or they might claim you caused it and are blaming them.

Wait, did you pay more than $11 for the cabin filter? That’s a super easy job to do yourself.
Yeah, I realized too late. They charged a fortune just to scratch it up.
Check the rest of your truck too. They scratched the inside door jambs on mine during an oil change. I only noticed because there were muddy footprints all over the place.
No pictures? How do you expect them to take you seriously without pictures? But honestly, most dealerships don’t care about your car, especially if you didn’t buy it from them.
