Hi everyone. After nearly a year of ownership, I finally received the deep sleep message stating that remote abilities are disabled to save battery.
I was on vacation for a week last week, and I hadn’t seen this message before. Now, I am getting it daily. Fortunately, the truck starts without any issues, but I am curious if there might be other underlying problems or if I should just take it to the dealership for a fix. Any advice would be appreciated.
It will require a lot of driving to fully charge the battery if it is close to 12.0 volts. Next, get the battery tested by the dealer.
After seven months, my OEM battery failed. The frequency of “battery saver” alarms increased until eventually it was unable to maintain a full charge for longer than a brief period of time. After testing it and finding that it only had 229 of 760 CCA, the dealer replaced it under warranty.
Have the dealer take a look at it while it’s discharged and see what they recommend.
Alternatively, you could try charging the 12V battery at home to make sure it’s topped off properly, since it seems the car isn’t fully charging it for some reason.
That is pretty funny! I have a 2018 F-150 too, and I just got this message for the first time today. Then, an hour later, I saw your post what a coincidence!
I brought my Maverick in four times for that problem because I was receiving it nearly every day and it greatly irritated me that I would receive that message after a twenty-minute wait at work and a twenty-minute trip on the interstate. I haven’t received the notice since they finally changed the battery.
