Haven’t seen many Alto Blue Mavericks here or out in the world. As an owner, I’m loving the color. The black option looks good too, maybe I’ll follow that style.

I’m with you! Alto Blue is rare to see around… feels unique and I’m really happy with it.
@Oli
Wow, that is a beautiful color! I went with the pepper red myself.

Thanks! Loving the way it looks.
Got mine in Alto Blue too… can’t beat it!
One reason I like my XL is because it’s already black. Other trims have so many colors going on.

Yeah, I saw they sell those 3M black stick-on covers, but at over $70, it was cheaper to paint it myself.
@Terry
Looks great, honestly. You definitely made the right call on that.

I’m confused, though… why buy an XLT+ if you prefer the XL look?

I get it, everyone’s got their style. For me, the XL had fewer colors, which I liked… but I wasn’t a fan of the steel wheels, so I swapped them. I also wanted the tailgate to lock with the fob, so I added an electric actuator. Just a few tweaks here and there. The XLT has its perks, but the look of the XL really worked for me.
How did you go about removing it? I’ve thought about it but haven’t tried yet.

Wish I’d taken some photos, but here’s what I did: First, I took out all the screws marked in yellow and pushed in two tabs. Then, I used a prying tool to pull the trim pieces from the headlights on both sides. That lets you pull the grill back a bit. You’ll see about 11 screws holding the piece circled in orange; take that whole section out, and it’ll give you access to the tabs that hold the trim. The hardest part is pushing those tabs out to get the trim piece off. The whole thing takes about 10-15 minutes.

Can you explain the removal in more detail?

Sure! I broke down the process in a comment above, but if you need any more specifics, just ask.
