I know the interiors of secondhand Mavericks are not the best, but the one I found has a lot of dings and scrapes around the internal door handle. What can I do to make it appear less terribly scratched up, or what have you people done?
I bought mine new and know that the recycled plastic interior scratches easily, so I am very cautious with it. Itβs an inexpensive truck made with budget materials.
I am not sure what is best for removing scratches, but for light surface scuffs, Iβve used Invisible Glass cleaner which is mild and safe for glass, window film, and plastics along with a microfiber cloth. Just spray the scuff and rub in circular motions with some pressure.
That will occur occasionally, since my work bag will occasionally bump into my drivers-side rear door from various cargo.
I would be upset if it were a fancy car, but because this is a truck and we are using it for that purpose, scratches are unavoidable.
Accept it and be happy that we are reusing resources and plastic. this is not a luxury car.
Display a picture of it. Are your scuffs on the metal component?
Itβs just some scratching and scuffing on the plastic around the interior door handle.
The only option is replace the plastic part.
