Is the Ford Maverick Hybrid worth it?

I’m looking for a new car since my Ford Focus gave up on me. I’ve been eyeing the Camry Hybrid, but with dealer markups and unattractive financing, it feels out of reach. The Maverick Hybrid has caught my attention—it seems like a great mix of price, size, utility, and fuel efficiency.

Is the 2023 Maverick Hybrid a solid choice? I’ve read good reviews online but would love to hear what you all think. Thanks in advance!

Great value for the money, but only if you’re paying MSRP. If there’s any dealer markup, I’d pass.

In my opinion, it’s the most practical option in its price range.

The Maverick Hybrid is a fantastic buy. Ford’s hybrids have a strong reliability record, and this truck offers a unique package. There’s nothing else like it on the market in the hybrid mini-truck category. Just be cautious about dealer markups and other fees—Ford dealerships can be a pain to deal with.

@Greer
Thanks for the info! I was surprised to see how many 2023 models my local dealership has in stock. I’m really impressed with its size too. Fingers crossed the numbers stay consistent through the buying process.

This is interesting. I’m listening closely to everyone’s thoughts.

Go for the hybrid if you’re only planning light towing, like a motorcycle trailer or a small popup camper. If you want to tow more, you’ll need the 2.0 engine with the 4K tow package.

Overall, it’s a good vehicle, but think of it more as a weekend warrior than a heavy-duty truck.

It’s a great choice, but they’re very hard to find.

I love the Maverick! I tried to get one during COVID but couldn’t find any. Ended up buying a 3-year-old Honda Ridgeline for $30k, and I absolutely love it.

They’re becoming easier to find now. Just don’t pay over MSRP. Reviews have been great so far, but there aren’t a ton of high-mileage examples out there yet.
