Picked up my matching '24 just after wife picked up Bronco Sport

Did they throw in a discount for that Ford face tattoo your wife has?

Not for her, but with where I placed mine, I got a sprayed bed.

I also got a bed liner for the Maverick, am I right?

@Addison
Sweet, enjoy the new vehicles!

6.6 l / 100 km = 35.6 mpg,

7.5 l / 100 km = 31.3 mpg.

@Hadi
You got the colors we wanted! It was just random chance that we both got white. The dealership wanted to sell the Bronco Sport service loaner, and I was debating driving a couple of hours to get the Atlas Blue, but the matching white popped up 15 min away, so I took it as a sign.

How do you find them back to back? Is it just me, or does some of the Bronco Sport interior feel more ‘truck’ than the Maverick?

@Addison
We ordered the Maverick. It took 11 months for it to come in. The Bronco they had as a service loaner on the lot, and a dealer ordered one coming in, so we waited for that one to arrive. We bought them 7 months apart. The interior on the Bronco feels better made than the Maverick, but I love both of them.

I have a similar story.

I bought my Maverick, and then a month later, my wife got a soft top Bronco Black Diamond. It’s nice, it looks cool, but I definitely prefer driving my Maverick.

I’ve driven both back and forth between Detroit and Indianapolis, and the Maverick wins in all aspects.

I’m sure going off-roading will be a different story.

Which has more cabin space?

I’d say in the front seats it FEELS slightly roomier in the Maverick, but in reality they should be very close. I think the slightly less boxy view and more trays in the front make it feel more open. In terms of utility, there’s better use of the storage space in the Maverick for keys, phones, etc.

In the back seat, Bronco for sure. We said the Bronco is better for moving people, while the Maverick is better for moving things.

@Addison
Appreciate it! The girlfriend has an EcoSport right now and she’s been contemplating the Bronco.

My only issue is that everything but the top trim Badlands Bronco Sport has a 1.5l turbo 3. You don’t notice it 99% of the time, and I did experience it getting better gas mileage, but it is down on power compared to a Maverick. Just something to keep in mind if you’re looking for a ‘do-all’ vehicle; any will require some light-medium payload/towing.

That said, I love driving the Bronco Sport and was shocked at how not ‘3 cylinder-y’ it feels. It’s a really great choice. It handled every local dirt road and hill here without issue (rural Ontario). We’ll use it for road trips, and I think it will be a very pleasant place to spend some hours on the road.

@Addison
My girlfriend hates driving; I usually drive her car when we go places. The Maverick with the turbo is definitely quick off the line for sure. But she’d never be flooring it down the road.

Nice! I’ve been waiting to add a Bronco Sport to the driveway. Had one as a rental and really enjoyed it.

White Bronco… that sounds familiar.

@Hadley
Tremor AND Heritage! This guy’s FANCY! Aside from the better approach angle, I love the accents from the Tremor.

Baby Bronco next to the Baby Truck. Don’t water them, they might grow. /s

Pretty sure the Maverick is based on the Bronco Sport platform. Read it in an Edmunds.com review.
