I’ve been seeing used Rangers going for almost the same as Mavericks, sometimes a bit more. Sure, they don’t get the same mpg, especially hybrids. But it does make you think twice about the Maverick’s value, especially with new prices going up.
@Amos
I’m in Ohio and bought my ‘23 F150 new. Here, if you trade a new vehicle for another new one, you get some of the original sales tax back. Saved me almost $2,500 going from the ‘20 to the ‘23. Because of that, I’m leaning towards a new Maverick.
Hope this thread picks up… let’s see some responses, people!
Had several F150s before the Maverick. Zero regrets. It’s so much easier to park, way better on gas, and comfy. Plus, I added a matching cap.
You’ll notice a huge drop in interior quality.

I’ve heard some comments about that. Was it anything specific? Did you switch from an F150? Also curious about the seat comfort.
@Olin
Honestly, the quality and fit of the interior materials are disappointing. Plastics feel cheap, and there’s almost no insulation, so things rattle a lot.
Haven’t owned an F150, but I’ve spent plenty of time in a buddy’s ‘16 F150, and it’s a night-and-day difference.
@Ali
Good to know, thanks.
