Twins, huh? What do you think about these rare ones?

Salute to a discontinued color. Two rare birds in one lot!

I love this color. It always gets a lot of attention. I can’t bring myself to get rid of it, even though the new green on the 25s looks tempting.

That’s a nice looking truck! It’d look amazing with a set of all-terrain tires.

I’m putting on Defender all-season tires next spring. Just swapped the factory tires for some Michelin IceX snow tires. The Continentals wore out after just 27k miles.

@Maddox
Yeah, those stock Continentals are terrible. I’m at 43k with mine, and they’re almost bald. I like the defenders, but I’ll probably go with Falken Wildpeaks.

Can’t go wrong with those either!

If the orange had been available in Canada, I would have gone for it. Looks sharp and unique.

Is yours the one with the tinted windshield?

I’m in Phoenix and I’ve considered tinting the windshield but I’m worried about cops pulling me over. Have you had any issues with that?

@Westley
I’m from Phoenix too. I was talking to a coworker from Texas, and he always gets his windshield tinted to something like 5% for UV protection. Not sure if it makes a huge difference but it seems like it would help.

Edit: I got the numbers wrong - he actually gets a super light tint, like barely noticeable, not the 5% limo tint.

@Skyler
It really depends on the tint you get. I’m on the East coast, so it helps more here in the summer. My truck has never been super hot when I get in.

I have Llumar Ceramic tint, 40% on the windshield. If you’re worried about tickets, you can go with 70% and still get the same heat and UV blocking as the darker tints. I got mine mainly for glare reduction since I drive a lot at night and the LED lights really bug me. This tint helps a lot.

@Hadley
The last tint shop I went to had 50% ceramic. I think I’ll go with that. Thanks!

@Skyler
5% is way too dark, I won’t be able to see anything at night :joy:. I think I’ll try 35% and see how it goes. Thanks!

I got it mixed up - my coworker gets a really light tint, not the 5% limo tint, which helps block UV but still lets you see well.
