Where can I sell my retractable cover?

Where is the best place to sell? I have had no luck on eBay, and Facebook has been full of lowball offers.

I have a Retrax XR that I paid over $1800 (plus tax) for, but people are only offering $500.

I am just looking to switch it out for something that gives me more space for my kayak. Any suggestions?

I can tell you that it will be difficult to receive even half of what you paid, having spent a month looking for a bed cover on the marketplace every day. Exquisite coverings don’t regularly come up for sale, but when they do, it is usually because the owners are trying to get rid of their truck and are looking to sell the cover for a little amount.

Why not list it on Maverick forums where people really appreciate these trucks?

I placed it on Maverick Truck Club a few months ago, and it only received one hit before he indicated he was not interested. I forgot about it.

To be honest, it is going to be a tough sell. Accessories that are self-installed, used, and then removed usually lose a lot of value. Plus, the Maverick already has a very small bed, and this tonneau cover takes up about 25% of the usable space when installed. That’s why I usually suggest roll-up tonneau covers for Maverick owners since they leave the full bed available for cargo. With the bed space reduction and the high price point, most people would prefer to buy a $200-300 soft tonneau cover from Amazon instead of spending $1500+ on a used one from eBay or Facebook.

I know it is frustrating, but you might have to accept lower offers or wait for the right buyer to come along. :man_shrugging:

I guess being trapped with it is not a terrible problem to have because it’s not bad and it looks decent.

:stuck_out_tongue: That is the vibe. In the garage, I have a ton of vintage auto components that I have gave up attempting to pass them off as original. I basically started giving things away to those who expressed interest in them because I was desperate to get my garage back.
