Who buys Mavericks for the most?

Here is my question, If you have sold a Maverick, who did you sell it to? There are so many online car buyers now, and I am unsure which ones are legit or offer decent payouts. I’m mixed about selling it myself because, honestly, I just don’t have the time.

I am fed up with my dealer constantly damaging the truck or making excuses, so I’m finally giving up on them shoutout to Serramonte Ford terrible service. I want to sell it now because after everything I’ve been through, driving it just stresses me out.

Before anyone asks no, it is not a lemon. It just has annoying issues like dash rattles, a super loud AC, and lurching, which Ford engineers claim is all “normal.” It took them over 60 days to tell me that, and they even put a mark on the bumper in the process. I’ll stop there instead of going on a full rant.

It’s a 2023 Grey Blackout Lariat Lux with only 5,200 miles, located in NorCal. It’s in great condition overall, with full front PPF, except for the mentioned bumper mark (which I mostly fixed, but plastic is plastic). I ran it through CarMax, and they offered $32k.

Carmax for making it simple. August saw the sale. Very pleased. After they processed my loan, I left with a cheque. Carvana is competitive as well.

Dash rattles are the worst. I really can’t stand them. I’ve taken my car in for repairs and ended up with loaners and empty promises. Instead of repair tickets, I just have a bunch of loaner rental agreements. A repair ticket means you’re one step closer to a lemon, right? Eventually, I decided to take matters into my own hands and stuffed pieces of cardboard in all the places that rattled the most.

I deadened the doors and repaired them. Then it was quiet. Ford is aware of the deep dash rattle but has no interest in resolving it. The dash would have to be pulled.

You all make me wonder if I’m the lucky one or if you’re the ones with bad luck. I have a 2023 Lariat with 23,704.3 miles, and I haven’t experienced any rattles, except for my aftermarket phone holder when my phone isn’t in it but that’s easily fixed by just placing the phone in it. The only thing I’ve noticed is that driving without the radio allows you to hear the wind outside more than in most cars. Other than that, I would highly recommend the truck for its excellent build quality. So either I am incredibly lucky, or you all are really unlucky.

You are unique. Enjoy it, please. did initially adore the truck.

The rattling on the dash are said to be exclusive to hybrid vehicles. Because of the volume of cars arriving, they even issue a TSB regarding it, although it has an infinite fix timeframe I don’t think they will issue a fix, simply issued so dealers stop repairing.

Well, mine is a hybrid, and either the dash is silent, or I’m going deaf. I will gladly take the win either way and just hope I didn’t jinx myself.

Similar story to issues. None of the above triggered proper repair ticked. Suspect they are using that to get out of lemons even on known problems.
